On June 30th 2009 the International League Against Epelipsy awarded me the first prize in the Centenary Film Awards for ‘Ictal’. The award was for the best film made about epilepsy since 2000, challenging stereotypes about the condition. ‘Ictal’ was originally a video installation commissioned by DaDaFest 2008 and produced at PVA MediaLab with support from the Arts Council SW.

Invaders was the centre of ‘Ictal’ at Exeter Phoenix in December 2008. Driven by EEG data recorded during siezure activity, ‘Invaders’ was commissioned for the Exeter Phoenix Media Digital Bursary 2008, and is an audiovisual creation.

ictal 2008‘ was part of DaDaFest International at the A Foundation in Liverpool in Sept 2008, alongside work by Alison Jones, Ju Gosling, Wolfgang Temmel and Tanya Raabe.

Phase 1 of the Ictal project was an exhibition of prints at the NeuroSupport Centre, Liverpool and the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
